Description
As far as I can tell, once you've commented on a Trac ticket, you will get notifications on that ticket forever, and there's no way to turn it off.
N.B. I am not speaking about the notifications you get if you choose to watch a ticket. It's clear how to opt out of those (by un-watching).
For example, I commented on this ticket nearly 2 years ago to give a would-be contributor SVN help: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/37110#comment:58
Since then, every time any user adds some advocacy or opinion (there have been over 40 since), I get an email. I've tried watching and then unwatching, and I've tried hunting through all the notification settings - but there appears to be no way to opt out.
I can't believe this is really true, but I've just reported it myself here. Can we please have an option to opt out?
