#8311 closed defect (bug) (wontfix)

Unable to edit my post even it is several minutes from its submission

Description

Hello, after posting a topic, i have figured (in around 30 seconds) that i
have explained it wrongly, spent around 2 minutes rewriting it and submit.
Result: "Error: You do not have permission to edit that topic." (maybe moderator approval of the post came into play for editing limit)

So this stupid system wasted 2 minutes of my time and also time of the
readers who read wrong data and then potentially reading my second message
where i paste same content, just fixed, wasting also disk space and more
time of the readers.

I would like to ask you to stop wasting our time and allow reasonable
editing time-frame, maybe 24-72 hours. Also i do not understand why this
system waste moderators time sending almost all of my posts for a review
despite i am years old user with tens of reviewed posts.

  • Resolution set to wontfix
  • Status changed from new to closed

Users can edit their posts for 1 hour.
Reviews - always, even if they are closed.

Modwatched users can't edit their posts, because they are modwatched. Works as expected.

Works as expected.

Wasting time of moderators and users and a server disk space = "works as expected". You should be kicked into your stupid ass out of this project.
