Description

The ability to mark threads as resolved is great. I think we could take this feature to the next level with the ability to mark a "solution"/"best answer" in a resolved forum post. Hopefully this would highlight the post and maybe add a green check mark to help people scanning long threads quickly find the solution, particularly when it's not the last post.

I've attached a rough mockup to show the idea.

This could be done, the wording should probably be changed to Preferred answer though, as the topic author may have chosen the first reply they got, or a better solution may have come in at a later date.

This is a good idea, but with no code or traction it seems best to close it for now. If a suitable bbpress plugin can be found that would work, then feel free to re-open the ticket so we can trial it.
