Description

Hello,

I was checking the WordCamp sites found a validation bug on become a speaker page.

i.e. https://2018.kualalumpur.wordcamp.org/2018/08/26/call-for-speakers/

On the above link, there is a form with a black transparent overlay and asking to log in to fill up the form.

But, I have removed the overlay and tried to fill up the form and it was successfully submitted.

I have checked other WordCamp sites and found the same form please check for this.

Let, me know if I have to attach any video or the images for this.

Hi @janak007, Welcome to Meta WordPress Trac! Thank you for your ticket.

As per your description i have check link https://2018.kualalumpur.wordcamp.org/2018/08/26/call-for-speakers/ and validation is working fine as per it's required fields so add screenshot or steps to generate above validation error so other can check it and replicate same error.

Also mark as 2nd-opinion so other can share there opinion.

  • Resolution set to wontfix
  • Status changed from new to closed

We discussed this in our ticket scrub today and agreed that bypassing the wporg login doesn't create a validation or security problem, so it's not something we're going to address at this time.
